Exploring Paths to Enhance IT Skills for Engineering Careers

Hi, I'm studying Physical Engineering (Bachelor's). There was a small IT component (the IT lectures are over) which covered Python, basics of Security, Boolean Algebra, etc. I want to gradually enhance my IT skills to become more marketable and, of course, earn well in the future. My problem: I'm unsure where to start next... everyone suggests something different. I've looked here: https://roadmap.sh/devops just to have some topics. Maybe someone here has tips? Suggestions for literature? What could be useful and profitable for an engineer? Which certificates will help? Thank you!
