Am I safe to upload a Torrent file to a website?

Hello, I am into a particular genre of heavy metal which has a very thriving underground of websites which allow users to contribute, download and share music of similar style. I have found one of these websites, and have already downloaded a few albums. The website uses Torrents (I only barely understand what they are) and I had to download software to be able to download the albums. I am interested in contributing to the website with a few albums I've found myself. I have downloaded them onto my laptop & I have them saved in my Apple Music. I have taken these files, compressed them and converted the zip to a torrents file. Am I safe to upload it? Is there any personal information in these files? Thanks.
