Project Description
We are building a Hytale game server called Dark Matter Economy, and we’re looking for a developer who’s interested in voluntarily contributing to a passion-driven project in its early stages.
This project has been a long-time dream for us. With Hytale entering early access just days ago, we finally feel the timing is right to start building something meaningful from the ground up. We are currently in the very early phases of development, where ideas are forming, systems are being planned, and creativity matters more than polish.
We’re not looking for a hired contractor right now. Instead, we’re hoping to connect with someone who genuinely enjoys the game, believes in Hytale’s future, and wants to help shape a server because it excites them—not because of immediate pay.
People once said Hytale was just a pipe dream. Now it’s here. We’re taking that same leap of faith and building something special, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey from the start.
At this stage, contributions would be voluntary, based around available free time. As the project grows and begins generating revenue, we are open to discussions around profit sharing or transitioning into paid/commission-based work for developers who choose to stay long-term and become core members of the team.
Required Skills
Decent English communication skills
Any level of Java experience
Some familiarity with Minecraft plugins or similar modding environments (helpful but not required)
