Hi everyone,
I’m a Senior Software Developer at Audio Production Software Company. Our team is currently developing a new C++ audio application focused on live performance.
The software is conceptually similar to Ableton Live / Bitwig, but designed specifically for non-linear live performance workflows. The goal is to bridge the gap between hardware-based workflows (Elektron-style devices) and the flexibility of VST plugin environments.
The project is already under development, but we recently encountered several issues related to:
Time-stretching
Clip sequencing
File browser temp sync
GUI improvements
Because of our current timeline, we are looking for experienced developers who can help us refactor the codebase and overhaul the GUI so we can move toward a professional release.
△ Tech Stack
C++ (C++17 / C++20)
JUCE
Dear ImGui
Python API (MIDI scripting)
△ Main Tasks
Improve clip sequencing and time-stretch functionality
Refactor the codebase to clean architecture & modern C++ standards
Migrate GUI from Dear ImGui → production-ready UI (JUCE or OpenGL/Vulkan based)
Optimize real-time audio performance
△ Requirements
Strong experience with modern C++
Experience with JUCE or similar frameworks
Familiar with Dear ImGui
Understanding of audio thread safety / lock-free programming
△ Preferred
Experience with audio plugins or music software
Familiar with Ableton / Bitwig / Elektron workflow
△ Budget
Fixed price: $2000 – $3000
△ Repository Access
Due to company security policies, external developers cannot access the internal GitHub repository.
If the contract is confirmed, we will use this repository for collaboration and development tasks.
If you have strong C++ audio development experience and are interested, feel free to DM me with your background or previous work.
