I’m building a single booking hub that lets travelers anywhere in Africa reserve seats on buses, trains, and planes from one responsive web interface and mobile app. The core of the project is a unified inventory system that can display real-time availability for all three transport modes, calculate fares, and issue digital tickets whit parcel module Key functional needs • Secure user authentication and profile management so passengers can save routes, passengers’ details, and payment preferences. • Payment integration for credit/debit cards and popular mobile money services (think M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN MoMo). I also need an option for offline cash payments handled through station or agent dashboards, with the system marking bookings as “pending” until confirmed. • Route, schedule, and fare management modules—admins must be able to import timetables (CSV or API), set dynamic pricing rules, and block seats. • Issuing e-tickets with QR or barcode for quick scanning at terminals. • Clean, RESTful (or GraphQL) API endpoints so partner operators can plug in their own websites or POS devices later. • An admin analytics panel that shows sales, occupancy, and revenue broken down by mode and route. Deliverables 1. Source code (frontend + backend) organised and documented. 2. Deployment scripts or container setup so I can run it on AWS or a comparable VPS. 3. Short video walkthrough and written installation guide. 4. Two weeks of post-launch bug-fix support. Tech stack is flexible; I’m leaning toward Node.js or Django for the server side and React or Vue on the client, but I’m open if you can justify another framework that scales well and is friendly to African payment gateways.
