Status page for LAN Network

I want to make a webpage with status page for devices in my local network which works like the "ping" command from cmd, not all devices have a webpage so i need to ping the devices, also it would be nice to know it would be possible to make like a ip scan with js. I found examples which always used http so i cant do that on all the devices i want to ping
