Unity animation editor is not working

i dont know if any of you know this problem where you cant edit animations. This happend: I made an animation and closed the animator, a few minutes after i wanted to change it, so i opened it again. But it didnt let me change anything, the only thing i can do is edit where the already existing points of the animation are. i hope someone can help me
